Team USA Loses Gold Medal Game to Team Canada in OT

The Gold Medal Game lived up to all the hype – but in the end, Team USA lost a heart-breaker to Team Canada 3-2 in OT.
It looked like it could get ugly after Canada took a 2-0 lead on goals from Jonathan Toews and Corey Perry at the 30 minute mark. But Ryan Kesler got Team USA on the board with just over 7 minutes left in the 2nd period to cut the Canadian lead to 2-1. Canada kept the pressure on USA goalie Ryan Miller and the US still trailed with less than a minute to play in regulation. But Zach Parise’s put back goal in front of the net with only 25 seconds left in the game sent the contest into overtime. What more could you ask for?
Sidney Crosby’s goal just over 7 minutes into the extra period eventually gave Team Canada the Gold Medal win, but you have to give the US team all the credit in the world. Top-to-bottom, Team Canada clearly had the better team. Come on, Team USA wasn’t even supposed to make it into the title game with its “inferior” team. Team USA knocked off Canada 5-3 in the preliminary round of play and took the Canadians to the brink off elimination in what would have been a devastating loss for the team and it’s country on home ice in Vancouver. Ryan Miller was clearly the best goalie in the Vancouver Olympics this year and it was a great run by a spirited US hockey squad. Congrats guys – you made us proud and made it fun to watch international hockey on the grandest of scales…
Bono needs to shut up

Man we are getting the U2 news today, now I find out Bono is a typical rich guy who thinks he is better then all of us. There are reports that Bono and Edge had dinner last Tuesday and Bono had some demands. First, he wanted only Perrier water and when the restaurant didn’t have it he made the waiter run across the street to buy some. He also needed his salad prepared special, as it could only be chopped and when it got to the table he made sure it was chopped. Any time I hear stuff like this it makes me never want to listen to U2 music, I hate when these famous people start to act all famous.
U2 is still rich top money makers in 2009

Billboard magazine announced their Top 40 Money Makers in 2009 and no surprise U2 was on the top of the list. The Irish mega band took in more then $108 million in 2009, mainly because of their 360-degree tour, which is the most expensive tour to hit the road. U2 wasn’t the only 80′s mega stars that are still raking it in, Madonna and Bruce Springsteen are right behind them at two and three. Springsteen brought in a crazy $57 million to put him at #2 and Madonna has the #3 spot with $47 million for 2009. The #5 spot was a bit of a shocker for me, Britney Spears tour was able to take in a healthy $38 million and $36 million of it was from the world tour.
The list was not filled with all old 80′s mega stars a lot of new comers are on the list. Pink took #6 with $36 million and her Funhouse world tour. The always famous Jonas Brothers nabbed the #7 spot with $33 million and their Lives, Vines and Trying Times tour. One that really shocked us because of how big her tour was in 2009 is Taylor Swift, who only took the #21 spot with $17 million. Lets see what 2010 brings us for tours, I know Lady Gaga is going to be on this list next year.
