Taylor Swift cleans up

Thursday, November 12th, 2009 | Concerts, Taylor Swift | No Comments

Taylor_Swift_cma19-year-old mega start Taylor Swift took home Entertainer of the Year last night at the 43rd CMA awards. She was the youngest person to ever win the award. Swift has had an amazing year with sold out shows in almost every city she plays and the hottest album out in 2009.

“will never forget this moment because in this moment everything I have ever wanted has just happened to me,” she said in accepting the major honor over four veteran male acts, all of whom she has opened concerts for in the past year. “You guys, this album is my diary, and so to all the people who voted for me for this … thank you for saying you love my diary because that’s the nicest compliment,” said Swift

Of course some people just couldn’t let her have her night, Wynonna Judd who hasn’t been relevant in years was quoted saying “You want my honest comment? It’s too much too soon,” the singer told USA Today before the show. “Time is God’s way of keeping everything from happening at once. It’s just too much of a good thing too soon.” Come on Wynonna, just because Swift will be ten times the star you are don’t take it out on her.

Also, if you missed the show super hot Carrie Underwood and some guy made fun of Kanye. Just kidding Brad Pasiley was the guy.

jim gaffigan comedy shows

Jim Gaffigan is one the most funny guys in comedy right now. A stand-up comedian, he has appeared on Comedy Central Presents as well as featured with Conan O’Brien in a series of animated short subject films where he and O’Brien are super heroes fighting crime with their extremely pale skin. Gaffigan is currently on a national tour, and will present a series of Chicago comedy shows starting in January 2010. You won’t want to miss the Jim Gaffigan Chicago comedy shows. He will be playing for three nights at the Chicago Theatre. January 29, 30, 31, 2010.

Jim Gaffigan tickets are still available for the comic’s shows at The Chicago Theatre. After getting his big break with a Letterman appearance in 1999, Gaffigan has not let up. Television and film appearances, commercials and voice overs are just some of the ways you might have heard of Gaffigan. He does make regular appearances on the television comedy series My Boys.

Many fans have enjoyed the films of Jim Gaffigan. Chicago audiences might remember him in Three Kings, Super Troopers, 13 Going On 30, The Love Guru, and independent films The Living Wake and The Great New Wonderful. He is starting work on the Drew Barrymore and Justin Long comedy entitled Going the Distance, which is scheduled for release in 2011.

He is also very well known for his work in commercials. He has done improvisational commercials for Sierra Mist, as well as other commercials for Rolling Rock, Saturn and ESPN.

In the new year, you will find Jim Gaffigan tickets available for his comedy shows in Peekskill, New York and Montclair, New Jersey in addition to Chicago. Gaffigan is very funny, and Ticket Chest can help to make sure you don’t miss your chance to see Jim Gaffigan at the Chicago Theatre.
