Texans Titans Football

I focused the Good & The Bad on Monday on NFL Quarterbacks.  While it was hard picking the “Best” Good QB, it was easy picking the “Worst” Bad QB – Tony Romo…

The Good – My 4 Road Warrior Quarterbacks…

Matt Schaub – Houston Texans – 34-31 winners over the Titans in Tennessee.  Schaub was 25 of 39 for 357 yards passing.  Schaub threw 4 touchdown passes with no interceptions, good for a 127+ passer rating.

Drew Brees – New Orleans Saints – 48-22 winners over the Eagles in hostile Philadelphia.  Brees was 25 of 34 for 311 yards passing.  Brees threw 3 touchdown passes with only 1 interception, good for a 118+ passer rating.

Kurt Warner- Arizona Cardinals – 31-17 winners over the Jaguars in Jacksonville.  Warner was 24 of 26 for 243 yards passing.  Warner threw 2 touchdown passes with no interceptions, good for a 131+ passer rating.

Eli Manning – New York Giantss – 33-31 winners over the Cowboys in the new Cowboys Stadium in Dallas.  Mannning was 25 of 38 for 330 yards passing.  Manning threw 2 touchdown passes with no interceptions, good for a 110+ passer rating.  Manning orchestrated the game-winning drive with under 3 minutes to play, culminating in Lawrence Tynes 37-yard field goal that gave the Giants the big road win against the Cowboys as time expired.

The Bad – Tony Romo – loses at home to Eli Manning (see above) and the rival New York Giants in the “Grand Opening” of the new Cowboys Stadium.  Talk about a bad way to get things started in your new “home.”  Romo missed more than he connected – just 13 of 29 (only 44.8% completion percentage).  Romo had 1 touchdown pass but 3 costly interceptions, one of which was returned for a touchdown by the Giants in the 1st quarter.  Not good.  Maybe it wasn’t all Jessica’s fault…

Stay tuned for more Good and the Bad as we hit every aspect of the sports world…
