Lollapalooza 2009

Monday, March 23rd, 2009 | Concerts | No Comments

2009_lollapaloozaThe rumors are always flying when it comes to Lollapalooza and this year is no different. Some of the bands we have been hearing for this year are Kings of Leon, Beastie Boys, Jane’s Addiction, Depeche Mode, Tool, and the Killers. There have also been some confirmed bands, like The Decemberists, Neko Case, Andrew Bird, and Lou Reed. This years three day sweat fest is scheduled for August 7-9 at Grant Park. I have lived in Chicago all my life and I know how hot August can be, I wouldn’t want to go stand in Grant Park for 8 hours in 90 degree heat with 200,000 drunk people even if the show was free.

Earlier this month Lollapalooza is claiming that $60 tickets went on sale, but we had the web site up 24/7 here and could tell you we didn’t see one ticket come out. We hit refresh and they just had page pop saying tickets sold out super fast. I don’t believe there was any $60 since I had there web site up all day and night, but I can’t prove that.
