Blackhawks Start Flat, Lose To Kings 5-2

Whoops!
Not a good night in L.A. for the Blackhawks. The Blackhawks fell behind the Kings 3-0 after 2 periods in Los Angeles and never had enough to make it close down the stretch. Dave Bolland’s 9th goal of the season cut the Kings lead to 3-1 7 minutes into the 3rd period, but the Kings answered with Alexander Frolov’s 21st goal of the season just 40 seconds later. One bright spot – Patrick Sharp scored his 22nd goal of the season. The Kings only took 25 total shots, but they made them count – scoring on 4 of them plus their empty netter. Cristobal Huet fell to 12-9-3 on the year. The Blackhawks are now 26-13-8 with 60 points. They are still locked into the 4th seed in the Western Conference, 7 points ahead of each of the Edmonton Oilers, Columbus Blue Jackets, Phoenix Coyote and Anaheim Ducks. They also have at least 1 game in hand against each of those teams.
