Forsberg won’t be back in NHL

Friday, January 30th, 2009 | NHL | No Comments

peter_forsbergPeter Forsberg has said he will not be back in the NHL this season. Forsberg told Sweden’s national broadcaster that if he is able to play it will be for his hometown club Modo in the Swedish league. Forsberg, made a late return to the Avalanche last year, but injuries kept him out of half of the team’s final 18 games. He also missed three of four games in the second round of the playoffs. He has been back on the ice in recent weeks to test out his ailing right foot. No word on how he is feeling and if the tests are working.
