Yankees not done spending money

Monday, January 26th, 2009 | MLB | No Comments

pettitteThere is talk today that the New York Yankees are close to a deal with Andy Pettitte to keep him with the Yankees for one more year. The deal could be worth $6 million with incentives that could make it as much as $12 million for the year. Last year Pettitte was 14-14 last season with a 4.54 ERA. He started in 33 games. His last 11 games he was playing with a sore shoulder and was only 2-7 with a 6.23 ERA. Last season he made $16 million with the team. This team has spent crazy money in the office season, they better make it to the post season this year or there will be some unhappy fans in NY.

Coach fired because his team won

Monday, January 26th, 2009 | Sports | No Comments

The Dallas high school basketball  coach who’s team beat a other team 100-0 was fired Sunday because he refused to apologize for winning. Coach Micah Grimes who does not agree  with the school about the out come of the game said, “I do not agree with the apology or the notion that the Covenant School girls basketball team should feel embarrassed or ashamed.” “We played the game as it was meant to be played. My values and my beliefs would bot allow me to run up the score on any opponent, and it will not allow me to apologize for a wide-margin victory when my girls played with honor and integrity.”  So what did this team do wrong? So we should tell players don’t play your heart out if you are winning by to much. This is a great message to send to these girls you won so you did something wrong.

Marbury confirms Boston wants to sign him

Monday, January 26th, 2009 | NBA | No Comments

stephon_marburyStephon Marbury has come out and confirmed the much rumored story that the Boston Celtics would sign him. This would happen only if Marbury can reach a buy out agreement. The Kincks star has not played in a game since last April. Marbury thinks the Knicks have not agreed to a buy out because the team does not want him to contribute to a championship run with Boston. The Knicks play the Celtics for the fourth and final time on Feb 6, will he be a Celtic or Knick?
