McGwire could have used steroids

Thursday, January 22nd, 2009 | MLB | No Comments

mark_mcgwireHere is a shocker for everyone, Mark McGwire probably used steroids. According to a book proposal by McGwires estranged brother. He claims that Mark took both steroids and HGH through out his MLB career. Jay McGwaire is saying that Mark used Deca-Durabolin and that he was the intro to Mark for performance enhancing drugs back in 94. Jay is claiming that Mark started off slow with low dosages so to not rocket his stats in baseball. The Deca-Durabolin helped with his joints and the HGH helped out his strength and making him leaner in the process. “I became the first person to inject him, like most first- timers he couldn’t plunge in the needle himself.” Jay said. Later a girlfriend injected him. In the 2005 book by Jose Canseco he claims he and McGwire used performance drugs as far back as 1988 but Jay disputes this in his proposal. Mark and Jay have not spoken in years so Jay claims should be taken with a grain of salt. The book has already been turned down by many publishers. Jay claims that Mark started taking performance-enhancing drugs in 1994 after he took him to his trainer. Jay is a bodybuilder and has been in many competitions. McGwire hit 70 home runs in 1998 breaking Roger Maris single season record. Since then Barry Bonds broke this record and has been the target of many steroid accusations. McGwire has not played baseball since 2001 and the 45 year old slugger has kept out of the public eye.
