More deals for the Mets, still nothing good for the Cubs
Friday, January 9th, 2009 | MLB
Just out sources are telling ESPN that the Mets are close to a deal with Tim Redding. The one year contract with the free agent would be worth $2 million. Redding had a 10-11 record with a 4.95 ERA in 182 innings covering 33 starts with the Nats last year. The Mets already have a strong rotation and are looking to place him in the No. 5 spot to top it off. It looks like the team is also still in talks with Derek Lowe but lets see how that plays out.
