Red Sox will not raise 2009 ticket price
Thursday, November 13th, 2008 | Boston Red Sox, MLB, Sports | No Comments
The Red Sox have just announced they will not raise 2009 season ticket prices. This is the 1st time in 13 years prices will stay the same. The team that drew 3 million fans last year and has 469 consecutive home game sellouts. The questions I have is a team that has won 2 world series in the last 10 years is to going to raise prices, what will the Cubs do? I bet they hit the fans with a increase even after getting swept 2 years in a row in the playoffs and not winning a World Series in over 100 years.

Will 2009 be a bad year for concerts?
Thursday, November 13th, 2008 | Concerts | No Comments
With the DOW at 8000 and two of the largest car companies in the country on the verge of bankruptcy, I ask will 2009 be a slow year for tours? In 2008 we had Madonna, The Police, AC/DC, Metallica, Coldplay and The Eagles all are big tours. As we sit here in the ticket chest bat cave and try to forecast the next 12 months, how hard will the economy hit the entertainment business? There has been rumors for months that Paul McCartney and Led Zeppelin will tour in 2009 but we have yet to see any dates. For two groups that will charge over $200 a ticket will the state of economy keep them from touring? With the way things are going world wide I do not see any major tours this year. Most of the artist are trying to charge as much possible I do not see major names getting on stage for under $150. I hope I am wrong on this because I would love to see a Led Zeppelin tour hit the US.
