The Atlanta Hawks defeated the Chicago Bulls 113-108 at the United Center in Chicago. The Hawks remained unbeaten and improved to 6-0 on the year. The Hawks had 6 players with double-digit scoring, The Bulls got off to a slow start – trailing by 3 by halftime and then trailing by 10 points by the end of the 3rd quarter. Although the Bulls rallied in the 4th quarter, it was too little too late as the Bulls lost by 5.
Derrick Rose – the Bulls super star rookie guard – once again showed why he was deserving of the 1st overall pick in the 2008 NBA Draft. Rose scored 26 points, grabbed 10 rebounds and chipped in with 6 assists. Ben Gordon added 19 points, 4 boards and 4 assists, while Luol Deng scored 19 points and added 10 rebounds. Andres Nocioni had a good night off the bench with 20 points. Tabo Sefolosha was the Bulls 5th player with double-digit scoring, as he chipped in 13 points. The Bulls will not have the services of Kirk Hinrich and Larry Hughes for some time, as each player has a serious injury. Drew Gooden has missed the last few games with a sore right ankle and is day-to-day.
The Bulls have 2 games left on their current home stand – Mavericks on Thursday and Pacers on Saturday. They will need to win both games in order to get back to .500 before their long west-coast road trip.

So LeBron James showed us why he is the next Michael Jordan last night with this amazing dunk. He is already on fire this year and the season has just started. Man I wish the Chicago Bulls had this guy. Cleveland won the game 99-93.

Not what the bulls need right now.
Chicago – Chicago Bulls guard Kirk Hinrich had surgery to repair a torn ligament in his right thumb and could be out for three months. Doctors at Rush University Medical Center performed the operation yesterday.
Hinrich was hurt last Friday in Chicago’s 100-83 victory over the Phoenix Suns, when he tried to knock the ball away from Amare Stoudemire.
The Bulls’ first-round pick in 2003 out of the University of Kansas, Hinrich has appeared in six games and averaged 8.3 points this NBA season. – AP
